TMC Offers:Competitive SalaryComprehensive Benefit Package401(k) PlanEmployee Ownership - ESOP!TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for an Equipment Sales working out of our office in Columbia, SC.PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Equipment Sales position is part of a team within TMC Transportation that is responsible for selling used Class 8 tractors and trailers and is responsible for growing existing customers, generating new accounts, and increasing sales volumes while maintaining a high level of customer service to build TMC's reputation as the industry leader in used Class 8 equipment sales. The Equipment Sales position reports to the Manager of Equipment Sales.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Meet or exceed sales objectives for used Class 8 equipment sales.Prospect for customers in a designated territory or assigned account list.Proactively identify and engage potential equipment buyers.Contacting prospective customers and assigned accounts utilizing various methods - making calls, social media, texting, or email.Develop strategies to grow new and existing customer relationships.Provide assistance to customers who can benefit from TMC products and services - including walk-in and call-in customers.Prepare quotes and proposals, provide test drives, and perform presentations highlighting equipment features.Proper completion of all paperwork associated with an equipment sales transaction - including writing sales orders, securing deposits, and processing paperwork in accordance with established Dealer policies.Collaborate with third-party finance companies to assist in obtaining customer financing.Maintain knowledge of current equipment specifications.Actively participate in product, market, and sales training.
