That legacy continues to shape our efforts today as we strive to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at all levels of the organization.Your ImpactAs our Vice President of Marketing and Communications, you'll have the opportunity to:Shape CASL's Brand Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a cohesive, multi-year communications, marketing, and branding strategy aligned with CASL's strategic plans.Drive Collaboration: Foster a culture where marketing, development, and programming teams work together, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decisions.Support Advancement Initiatives: Work closely with the VP of Advancement to lead capital and comprehensive campaigns, utilizing targeted media campaigns to drive success.Media Relations: Proactively seek media coverage opportunities to advance CASL's strategic goals, including developing a paid media strategy.Crisis Communication: Provide comprehensive crisis communication for emergencies and unexpected events, ensuring CASL's reputation remains strong.Measure Success: Evaluate and report on the outcomes of marketing strategies, identifying areas for improvement and exploring new channels and platforms.Brand Management: Develop and disseminate brand guidelines, oversee team training, and ensure compliance with standards.Team Leadership: Lead and develop the MarCom team, overseeing their daily activities to ensure quality output and adherence to deadlines.Stakeholder Engagement: Represent CASL at events and press conferences, strategizing with influencers and media to raise our profile.Budget Management: Develop and manage marketing and communication budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.RequirementsTo thrive in this role, you should have:Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, or public relations preferred, with 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.Leadership: A minimum of 3 years' experience managing team members and guiding them towards department goals.Communication: Demonstrated success in writing/editing press releases, executive leadership speeches, and media negotiation.Digital Proficiency: Fluency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics) and social media marketing applications.Marketing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of current marketing avenues, including digital, print, and social media.Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a complex organization, handle competing demands, and adapt to change.Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and professionalism in engaging with colleagues and co-workers.Ethical Leadership: A commitment to treating people with respect, working with integrity, and exercising sound judgment.Note: This is a hybrid role based out of Chicago with a 3 (onsite) 2 (remote) schedule.Why Choose CASLInclusivity: Join an organization that values mutual respect and acceptance, fostering a culture of inclusivity.Empowerment: Support staff empowerment through skill development and growth opportunities.Collaboration: Be part of a workplace that thrives on collaboration and teamwork.Transformation: Envision and realize transformative changes in people, processes, and policies.Resiliency: Work with a dynamic workforce and model resiliency to achieve collective strengths.Join Us And Make a DifferenceAt CASL, we're dedicated to creating a positive impact in our community, and we're looking for a Vice President of Marketing and Communications who shares that commitment.
