Come join our growing team in our San Francisco headquarters!The roleWe're adding a Backend Engineer to our team to build and scale our FinTech core. You'll work closely with business operations and the product engineering team to deliver a money mover backend that just works. The work will include automating ledger reconciliation systems, managing payment processor integrations and implementing our in-house banking core.This is a high growth opportunity with the possibility of evolving Principal Engineer and engineering management responsibilities in the future.As a software engineer, you'll have the opportunity to design, develop and operate Grid's most mission-critical systems at scale. Unlocking scale and getting our customers one step closer to financial freedom, your work "behind the scenes" will be at the forefront of Grid's ongoing success and growth.The Tech StackOur tech stack is GCP, Go, protobufs and MySQL. We have native mobile apps, an event-driven architecture on the backend and data infrastructurefor streaming analytics and ML. Despite a complex domain and data model, most new hires get productive on our stack within a couple days. What you'll do:Design, develop and operate core ledger systemsBuild and maintain integrations with payment processorsOperate and scale our internal treasury management APIsDebug, quantify and minimize exceptionsSet up sustainable best practices for DevOps and FinOps, including monitoring and analyticsCollaborate with and mentor fellow engineersChampion new practices to improve customer experience and enable exponential growthLead and own projects end to endWhat we're looking for:5+ years experience building and deploying softwareat scale5+ years of experience in FinTech, payments or related financial systemsExperience with our tech stack (or willingness to learn quickly/independently)Data-driven approach, fluency in SQL as well as GoHave deep experience with modern cloud technologiesMotivated, entrepreneurially minded individuals who thrive in an environment with minimal structure, high ownership and technically challenging problemsAbility to understand complex business requirements and translate them into pragmatic technical plansAn efficient approach to software development that drives accuracy and user experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
