Reporting to the Executive Director and serving as a member of the five-person Senior Management Team, the Legal Director will be instrumental in furthering GLAD Law's vision. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and creative thought leader to shape organizational and legal strategy on behalf of the communities GLAD Law serves at a pivotal moment for LGBTQ+ rights.OrganizationSince 1978, GLAD Law has achieved scores of precedent-setting legal victories to end discrimination based on gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, and HIV status. Time after time, GLAD Law has broken through resistance and prejudice to make real progress for transgender rights, family protections and marriage equality, LGBTQ+ youth rights, protections for people living with HIV and much more.Experience8+ years of litigation experience in an LGBTQ+ civil rights or nonprofit legal organization or comparable environment in private practice, government, or academia. The ideal candidate for the Legal Director should have a deep understanding of how impact litigation, legislation, policy, and public education strategies are employed to expand civil rights and a strong understanding of how multifaceted identities impact the lived experiences of the LGBTQ+ community and inform its legal strategies.Location/RelocationNortheastern seaboard with a strong preference for Boston, MA.CompensationThe salary range for this position is $190,000 to $220,000, depending on years of relevant experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
