We are looking for smart, creative and passionate people who want to help build a great and enduring company and deploy Deep Learning to the world!What we are looking forThe Director of Product, Product Verification will be responsible for ensuring that Focal stays at the cutting edge of product identification and verification at a mass market scale. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of our end to end product verification pipeline, from reference data collection to production model deployment. You will be responsible for architecting products to support the vast flow of data that transforms images from our cameras into insightful metrics for our clients. Reporting to the VP of Product, you will work very closely with our Product, Engineering and Deep Learning teams.What you will doGuide the Product Verification product roadmap and prioritizationOversee and guide software development of our Product Verification productsEnsure features and bugs are reported and prioritizedKeep JIRA and product charters up to date and maintainedRun scrums and check-insPlan, monitor and analyze key metrics for the performance of our models and infrastructureProactively seek a firsthand understanding of issues and areas for improvement for our Product Verification productsAct as a strategic partner to the VP of Product and Focal executives; initiate and lead data-driven analyses to help prioritize opportunities and provide actionable recommendations for initiatives, products and improvementsWhat you need to be successful8+ years professional experience, preferably 3+ years in a product management role managing a computer vision or deep learning productTechnical degree (e.g. EE, CS, Math, Stats) strongly preferredStrong knowledge of software development processesStrong knowledge of deep learning and computer visionKnowledge of SQL and data scienceKnowledge of Python strongly preferredKnowledge of data annotation processes a plusProven ability to plan and manage a long-term product roadmapDemonstrated skill to devise and implement product processes for maximum efficiency and productivityRecent startup experience; uphold our values & mission; team playerAbility to work a few days per week in the San Francisco officeWhat we offerWe care deeply about the health, happiness, and wellbeing of all of our employees.
