Role Description As Director of Reliability, you will be responsible for developing the tools, methods and processes that Form uses to deliver world-class reliability in our critical multi-day energy storage product. Form's key value proposition is to provide clean-reliable power to the electric grid when other types of electricity generation are unavailable. Our product is, by definition, a grid reliability product and our development, verification and validation processes need to rigorously ensure our customers can count on Form when needed most. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the reliability function from physics of failure to manufacturing ORT to field RCAs. Your scope will encompass our product holistically, from cell to integrated system. The Director of Reliability will report directly to the VP of Engineering. What You'll Do Develop a vision for the reliability function at Form and then build it. That vision should span from design to manufacturing and long-term operation of our power plants. Hire an exceptional team. Accelerate Form's path to scale by rigorously testing, documenting, and educating internal and external stakeholders on Form's product reliability. Build a DfR function at Form that is highly integrated with the product design teams. Develop and execute reliability test plans, informed by comprehensive DFMEA, covering Form's product from electrode to grid interconnection. What You'll Bring 10+ years of experience (5+ in a leadership role). 5 - 10 years in a reliability function. Experience with complex systems involving chemical, material, mechanical and electrical failure modes. Experience spanning design to manufacturing. Resolute leader who will actively advocate for and champion world-class product reliability. B.S. or higher in engineering or physical science(s).
