Senior Emissions Technician (Onsite) MI

SUMMARYTo provide emissions, and test system equipment support services as required to meet project demands within the engine and vehicle test facilities. Provide basic troubleshooting of hardware and software systems. In-depth experience in proper operation of test cell and facility equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport as required: setup, calibration, and maintenance of emissions, and test measurement equipment within the test facilitiesPerform and document all test facility equipment calibrations to MAHLE quality specificationCreate process documentation detailing any unique areas of test cell operation (e.g. heavy duty engine certification testing)Integration of emissions and measurement equipment into PUMA systemMaintain/assist with laboratory calibration equipment and databaseAbility to present informal operator instructions of lab measurement and test systemsResponsible for the quality of all measurement and test system data resultsResolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or conceptsMaintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operationsComply with the Company Quality SystemObserve all safety rules and regulations.  Must act safely and be responsible for the safety of others around work areaProvide guidance and/or direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level technical employees or non-exempt personnelEmployee's duties are not limited to those stated above, but are inclusive of any tasks assigned by supervisor/managerQUALIFICATIONS2 year technical degree or equivalent6 + years hands-on experience in servicing and repair of emissions and measurement equipment for automotive testingStrong communication skillsIn-depth understanding of AVL emissions and measurement equipmentExperience with gasoline, alt fuel, and diesel engine test cell setupsFamiliarity with standardized test cycles and 1065 regulationsWorking knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshootingKnowledge of basic computer hardware and softwareMicrosoft Office SkillsAbility to train othersMust be self-motivated and possess the drive to complete tasks in a timely manner and with appropriate attention to detail   Do you have any questions?Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.        SETH.KELLY@
