POSITION SUMMARY: Directs data collection, analytics, and modeling related to performances of BMI's repertoire internationally. Collaborates with multiple departments and executives within the company, providing analytical expertise and experience, as it relates to international usage and royalties' distributions. Collects requirements, designs and creates reports/dashboards to support international business activities. Collaborates with IT department to collect and deliver supporting data. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Assists in managing the system and data that feeds the various international dashboards. Directs the development of the organization's strategy and direction for usage of the various Business Intelligence and Analytics tools. Collaborates with the Head of the International Analytics & Development team and IT department to develop and execute actionable, routine processes, reports, dashboards, and tools for use by the international and other departments. Develops and maintains the analytics roadmap for the international department and collaborates with the internal analytics team as needed. Conducts research to gather information from a variety of sources, including BMI internal databases, the Internet and 3rd party data providers. Utilizes various technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and varied data sources and platforms to support effective business decisions and/or processes. Assists in detailed analyses of international revenues to support day-to-day business needs. Collects, regulates and loads external files such as performance data as needed. Assists in collecting and delivering catalog information and other pertinent data to support collective management organizations representing BMI's repertoire internationally. Maintains databases that are used by the international department for revenues, statistical research and analysis. Collaborates with IT Business and Systems Analysts to introduce, provide data and strategic analytical support to define requirements for future system development. Supports team conducting data analytics, data standardization and related projects, and optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Regular attendance. Other duties as assigned. Supports our BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity and inclusion.POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation: BS or BA required in Math, Statistics, Engineering or Business. Graduate degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable.Experience: Minimum of 4 (6+ preferred) years of relative experience. Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with specific expertise in Excel and Access. Proficiency in using SQL coding to manage and extract information out of large sets of data across a variety of enterprise data environments (Azure, DB2, Oracle). Proficiency in using BI reporting tools such as Cognos, PowerBI, QLIK, Tableau, MS SSRS; advanced preferred. Experience with enterprise Business Intelligence applications. Proven track record of streamlining processes and related systems workflow to increase efficiency. Demonstrated business skills, such as work prioritization, attention to detail, flexibility, budgeting. Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, including public presentation skills and interaction with senior leadership. Able to work independently and with good judgment. Innovation and creativity. Integrity. Must be familiar with new technologies, especially as they relate to BMI's business. Strong statistical and data analysis skills required. Ability to examine complex data and information and derive solutions. Strategic and systematic approach to problem solving. Ability to conduct complex modeling exercises against a wide range of statistical data and business model conditions, with presentations to leadership audiences. Experience working with and maintaining database systems and reports, as well as word processing and spreadsheets.Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 (USD).The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors.
