Come join us!Job SummaryThis position is responsible for providing support to the Data Accuracy team, ensuring the accuracy of data entry into the system. This position monitors, reports, and updates any data discrepancies within MSC's Equipment management systems.Key Responsibilities:Monitors, tracks, and updates MSC Equipment data using MSC proprietary IT systems along with other databases, Excel, and Power BI; Creates reports and monitors the Equipment Inventories for US Terminals and Depots.Conducts daily and weekly cleaning of GVA OVHQ DEQ EME errors; Performs regular comparisons and reconciliations of vendor system data with EDI received.Proactively updates missing activities to prevent illogical sequences, regularly cross-referencing vendor system data with received EDI data.Confirms location of all containers, ensuring accuracy of information in system, and investigates discrepancies between terminal inventory and MSC inventory; Works to reduce the number of long dwelling/damaged units by maintaining accurate and up to date information.Adds remarks and follows up on data discrepancies in Zone Report (MSC USA Inventory); Conducts a 3-way comparison of OVH, terminal inventory and the zone report to ensure all information matches.Monitors the Off hires/On Hires, and sale of MSC equipment; Ensures compliance with GVA procedures and standards.Responsively addresses internal customer inquiries related to EDI processes, fostering effective communication within the organization.Collaborates closely with the supervisor to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of all tasks; Offers support to the supervisor and assistant manager in fulfilling their respective responsibilities.Provides regular reports to the supervisor on their progress and any issues that arise; Provides feedback on system performance to Managers.Performs other duties, as necessary.Qualifications & Key Competencies:Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)Attention to detail: AdvancedCommunication skills: AdvancedDependability: AdvancedTeam player: AdvancedEnglish: AdvancedKnowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new softwareWhat We OfferHealth InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceLife Insurance: one-time annual salary up to $50,000Long Term Disability InsurancePaid Parental LeaveBusiness Travel InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts - (Health, Dependent Care, Transit/Parking)Supplemental Life, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity PlansYou will also have access to additional benefits,effective day one:Short Term Disability Insurance401K Plan - 3% Safe Harbor Contribution with option for additional 3% employer match.Wellness Program initiatives / Free MSC Partner Subscriptions with CalmPartner Discount Programs with MSC Cruises, Apple, Dell, Nissan, Whirlpool, AT&T, Pets Best and others.Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is a global leader in transportation and logistics, privately owned and founded in 1970 by Gianluigi Aponte.
