The Resource Operator Laboratory is responsible for supporting production by analyzing a variety of samples using different test methods; performing microbiological and/or physical tests on raw material, in-process products and finished products. Daily tasks include the receipt of samples, determining methods by reviewing procedures and specifications, testing samples, determining methods by reviewing procedures and specifications, testing samples, observing for abnormal reactions, documenting, reviewing, and reporting of results, and cleaning and stocking the work area. The Resource Operator Laboratory is also responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment as well as performing routine quality control checks. This position will fill in for vacation and break relief, shift vacancies and training other operators, or filling in for cross training.Starting pay $24.22$1.50 shift premium for night shiftDouble-time on Sunday'sPerform chemistry, physical, and/or microbiology sample preparation and testing.Responsible for equipment operation, calibration, cleaning and maintenance.Interpret, analyze and report laboratory data.Accurately enter all required data into log books, spreadsheets and the reporting system as appropriate and if applicable.What you need:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Minimum one (1) year of experience in the food production industry or in a related quality or laboratory field required.Experience with both metric and standard systems of measurement required.Minimum one (1) year of experience in the food production industry or in a related quality or laboratory field required.Where you'll be working:Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago.
