This combination of academics and skills ensures that CSG students will be well-prepared for life beyond CSG.Columbus School for Girls has an immediate need for an Assistant Director of Marketing who will assist in the creation and execution of research-based marketing plans to support admissions, brand and non-branded marketing, and other advertising opportunities for Columbus School for Girls. Also, this role will assist with our main website in terms of development, editing, and content curation assistance. In addition, this role will work closely with the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications on special projects, designated by CSG's Senior Advancement team and the Head of School. This role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team members and various departments in the school.CSG offers a competitive salary, benefits, and professional opportunities and welcomes candidates who add to the racial, cultural, religious, and gender diversity of the school community.Major Functions and Responsibilities:Assists in the development of strategies and tactics to boost CSG's reputation and drive qualified traffic through the Admissions funnel, website, and other brand-specific mediums.Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights, while assisting in the development of guidelines to promote CSG across various channels.Successfully execute marketing campaigns from ideation to execution and ensures their alignment with CSG's mission statement and core values.Researches various organic and paid acquisition channels and provides recommendations to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications.Provides reports and high-level marketing summaries to the Director for Strategic Marketing & Communications.Provides oversight, guidance, and training for all institutional and departmental promotional materials and publications (photo, video, flyers, posters, banners, handouts, digital signage, social media, website, items, apparel, etc.)Assist the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications with the development of department goals and strategic plans to meet those goals.Required attendance at events and meetings during and/or outside of business hours as needed and as requested by the Director of Strategic Marketing Communications.Assists with social media, copywriting, and crisis communications as requested by the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications.Other duties as deemed necessary to support Marketing and Communications functions throughout CSG.Experience, Characteristics, Qualities:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English, or in a directly related field; prior experience in a school environment and graphic design is strongly desired.Three years of experience working in a marketing and communications environment department required.Experience developing marketing and communications plans.Experience developing media relations strategies, as well as experience seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.Be able to articulate the value of an independent school education in an all-girls environment.Have an entrepreneurial mindset.Communicate genuinely and in a polished manner, both verbally and in writing.Have the ability to create and implement systems that require organization, time management, and attention to detail.Prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.Have strong written and verbal communications skills.Strong in deciphering analytical information (Quantitative and qualitative); Experience in Google Analytics or equivalent program preferred.Have a strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications.Utilize a data-driven approach to decision-making.Engage collaboratively with colleagues, prospective families, and community partners, and the media.Demonstrate these essential qualities: a positive attitude, creativity, flexibility, and a sense of humor.Commitment to Diversity: Columbus School for Girls strives to cultivate a culture of belonging through its curriculum, pedagogy, school programs, extracurricular activities, and overall student experience.
