While details may evolve, our goal is to create an environment where innovation thrives, with office-based teams coming together three days a week to collaborate and thrive, together!Job DescriptionYour CareerThe Senior Revenue Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the accounting and reporting for Palo Alto Networks Financial Services (or PAN FS), the Company's captive financing company, which provides financing arrangements to our customers. As part of the PAN FS accounting team, you will have a unique opportunity to be part of a newly formed and growing team within Palo Alto Networks. It is a role that requires collaboration with multiple teams, including treasury, technical accounting, corporate accounting, tax, IT, legal, and sales operations. The Senior Revenue Analyst will possess strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. The candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to provide solutions for issues identified. The successful candidate is a competent individual with integrity, accountability, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player. The position requires a person who is flexible, adaptable, hard-working, and able to work well under pressure.Your ImpactTrack deals financed and partner closely with Treasury and Technical Accounting teams to understand the deal structureCompile and prepare accounting package for financed transactionsPrepare accounting journal entry adjustments at the entity and consolidated levelPerform month-end close related activities, including preparation of financing receivable/income and revenue/deferred revenue related journal entries, and applicable reconciliationsCompile period-end reporting deliverables for financing entitiesSupport project lead setting up financing entities and support financing system implementation projects as neededPartner with cross functional business partners to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvementsAssist with external audits and special projects as neededEnsure compliance with SOX 404 key controlsQualificationsYour ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred or equivalent military experience required3+ years of progressive relevant experience required or 2+ years of public accounting experience within Big 4 public accounting firmsKnowledge of revenue recognition and/or financing accountingHe/she should be familiar with close processes, account reconciliations and journal entry preparationSolid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailStandout colleague and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross functional organizationsStrong ability to maintain relationships, think critically, and solve problemsHigh proficiency in MS Office Suite, proficiency in Google Suite a plusExperience with financial systems, SAP ERP S4 Hana & RAR, Blackline, Tableau, and SFDC a plusExperience with high technology companies in the Hardware, Software and/or SaaS space a plusAdditional InformationThe TeamYou have a passion for numbers, our organization has a passion for cybersecurity. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $87,400/yr to $141,450/yr.
