T he position i nvolves the planning of n ew d evelopment projects, from a c i v i l engineering p erspective, t o e nsure they are c ompleted i n a t i m ely fashion a nd w i thin budget while k eeping c o mpany executives i nformed at all times. T h i s position manages the d evelopment process, with a focus on c i v i l engineering, from s tart t o finish · Pl a n a nd c o ordinate project development activities r e l a ting to assigned projects · P r eliminary s i t e, c i vi l a nd i n frastructure analysis i ncluding preliminary c ut a nd f i l l take off exercises, grading & drainage analysis · P r eliminary s i t e design to u nderstand d ensity o ptions a nd c omply w i th z o ning r estrictions · Collaborate with P r oject Management to obtain project proposals and develop project plans, sc hedules and budgets · Collaborate with i nternal P l anning & D esign team · Coordinate d ue d i l i g ence w ork with t hird party v endors, i .e., ordering A l ta/Geo/Phase1 etc. · Coordinate c i vi l , traffic e ngineers, environmental c o nsultants, l andscape d esign a nd s i t e l i ghting · Competently r ead a nd understand c i v i l engineering drawings and problem s o l v e f or any obstacles · Manage c o ntracts and b i ds with v endors and s u ppliers · B uild take-off budgets and proformas f or v arious types of projects · E ffectively c ommunicate and c onvey with l eadership o n project updates, potential r i sks , technical c hallenges and r ecommend appropriate m i t i gation p l ans · A ny and a l l other duties assigned by s upervisor within the sc ope of employee's a bility E du cation & E xperience: · B S i n Civil E ngineering · E x perience w i th the ground up d evelopment and horizontal d esign management preferred. · Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) · Demonstrated experience i n r eading c onstruction documents and s pecification m anuals. · Minimum 5 y ears Civil E ngineering, project planning, oversight, and delivery experience. · Collaboration: Develops, maintain, and s trengthens c ollaborative r e l ationships i nside and outside the organization. · Communication: Listens a c tively and expresses s elf c l early i n c o nversations and i nteractions with others; expresses s elf c l e arly i n bu s i ness writing to e ffectively r each the audience. · Results Or i e ntation: P r i oritizes projects to meet r equired d eadlines.
