Our collective expertise is harnessed to create customized adaptations of the forefront Vantage Data Center prototype that perfectly cater to the unique requirements of our customers.Position OverviewThis role can be based in our US location: Ashburn, VA. in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).Vantage is seeking an experienced and transformational Director of Design Program Office to lead and manage the design program for our data center projects! The Director of Design Program Office will be responsible for supervising the coordination and execution of design activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and driving excellence in design standards and processes.Essential Job FunctionsProgram Leadership and Management:Lead the Design Program Office, overseeing the planning, execution, and management of design activities across multiple data center projects.Ensure that design programs align with the company's strategic objectives, project timelines, and quality standards.Design Standards and Processes:Develop, implement, and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high quality across all projects.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design program, optimizing processes and workflows to enhance productivity and effectiveness.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate closely with internal customers, including engineering, construction, operations, and project management teams, to ensure seamless integration of design activities with other project functions.Facilitate communication and coordination between design teams and other departments, ensuring that all design-related aspects of the projects are aligned and driven effectively.Project Oversight and Support:Provide oversight and guidance to design teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with design standards.Support the resolution of design-related issues, conflicts, and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.Resource Management:Handle the allocation and utilization of design resources, ensuring the teams are adequately staffed and supported to meet project demands.Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance management of design team members.Budget and Financial Management:Develop and handle the budget for the Design Program Office, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support project needs.Supervise and control design program costs, finding opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Risk Management and Compliance:Identify and mitigate risks associated with design activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential issues that could impact the success of the design program.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare and present regular reports on design program status, performance metrics, and key issues to senior management and other customers.Ensure that all design documentation is accurately maintained, organized, and accessible to relevant teams.Job RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design Management, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in design management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale design programs.Skills:Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in design software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.Physical Demands and Special RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
