It is the leading national model for education and research in the health, psychosocial, and biomedical sciences and supports the University's mission of educating students for a life of fulfillment and accomplishment and creating and translating knowledge to meet global and societal needs.About the Opportunity:The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking an open rank (assistant, associate, or full professor), non-tenure-track, faculty position with the opportunity to work closely with an interdisciplinary team of professionals throughout the School and University and help to advance initiatives such as the expansion of the Sports Residency Program and Sports Concentration within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program across the Northeastern University Global Network.At Northeastern University, we embrace a culture of respect where each person is valued for their contribution and is treated fairly. We strive to have a diverse membership, one where each person is trained and mentored to promote their success.Responsibilities:Teaching graduate courses, engaging in scholarship, and participating in departmental, college, university, and professional service.Being a core faculty in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, effective teaching, contributing and teaching in the core curriculum and sports and exercise related content.Developing curriculum materials and engaging in scholarship and service.Recruiting and yielding qualified students from diverse backgrounds and ensuring that all correspondence with prospective and enrolled students is accurate and timely.Evaluating applicants for admission to graduate and second degree programs and internal transfer applicants from undergraduate programs.Monitoring the academic standing and progression of all students enrolled in the program and completing graduation clearance processes as requested.Supervising or providing department-based professional student services, such as program-specific advising and guidance on professional licensure.Initiating and fostering external relationships that are beneficial to the program and/or that inform program development.Representing the program at department, college, and university events.Monitoring student progress toward designated outcomes and adjusting curricular and teaching materials to achieve those desired outcomes.Qualifications:Hold an active or be able to obtain an unrestricted PT license in the state of Massachusetts.Have a minimum of three years of clinical experience (Assistant Rank); Associate and Full Professor ranks commensurate with qualifications/experience.Experience in higher education teaching.Hold or are eligible to earn an ABPTS certification or clinical specialization.Hold a terminal degree (PhD, EdD, or ScD) by position start date.Have a scholarship and/or experience working with individuals in a sports performance or rehabilitation setting.Be eligible to hold an assistant, associate, or full professor rank.Additional Information:Interested candidates should apply here with a curriculum vitae that includes a list of publications, statements addressing the prompts below, and at least three reference letters.
