This position will provide comprehensive HR support to Proterra's business operations and other functions. This role is responsible for providing HR support for professional and production employees. Primary responsibilities include day-to-day HR systems and guidance, employee relations management, on and off-boarding, leadership coaching, responding to critical business requests, talent management, performance management, and HR projects as assigned by senior staff.Scroll down the page to see all associated job requirements, and any responsibilities successful candidates can expect.About the Role - You Will:Partner with site leadership to align business objectives, work culture and HR programs, policies, and practices.Provide strong employee relations guidance and coaching to front-line production and engineering leaders as well as being available to support production and manufacturing workforce on all HR-related matters.Foster positive employee relations, meaningful communication programs, and coordinate organization-sponsored employee services and activities in partnership with the wider HR team and the Burlingame office manager in order to enhance the company culture.Manage HRIS and data. Conduct and improve upon the process for new hire orientations, background checks, I-9s, onboarding and coordination of exits.Be able to make connections across all levels of the organization, including hourly production through senior executives of the Proterra leadership team.Support recruiting in coordination with internal stakeholders and the TA team.Participate in critical HR operating rhythms such as talent review, strategic workforce planning, succession planning, salary planning, and performance management.Develop spreadsheets, online tools, systems and/or other creative and simple techniques for preparing and presenting data to monitor and measure HR effectiveness, productivity and cost.Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
