A Senior Product Marketing Manager at DeltaXML will be a diverse and rewarding role. The successful candidate must be able to interface effectively and establish quick credibility and confidence with the Management team, R&D, Development, Sales, Marketing, Channel Partners, and Customers. This requires a talented and flexible individual with strong presentation skills, adept business knowledge, organisational abilities, and who is capable of bridging customer business requirements to technical feature set and broader market trends, indices, and capabilities. This is a key role at DeltaXML with strong career growth potential.The Senior Product Marketing Manager will develop strategic marketing plans for a product and product line through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning. The successful candidate will also develop new product features and functionality in partnership with the management team, R&D and the Development team. The Senior Product Marketing Manager participates and acts as marketing's primary advocate on cross-functional development teams, will provide customer use-case examples to development and is the primary bridge between customer requirements and R&D.Oversee innovation and introduce new business opportunity and technologies to DeltaXML.Identify areas for growth and create strategic product line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features.Forecast and help drive opportunities for product lines.Drive co-develop material, together with Marketing, for multiple product or service launches including press releases, launch materials, customer presentations, videos, PodCasts, and sales training materials.Take a comprehensive approach to managing issues associated with ordering of product, systems and tools to drive resolution and improve customer satisfaction.Develop and drive competitive marketing campaigns, together with Marketing, to ensure DeltaXML's market share growth.Collaborates cross-functionally on competitive selling, pricing, market development and field solutions.Take a lead role on market research and analysis, portfolio strategy and product roadmaps, requirements and stories for agile development, business case development, product pricing and performance.The role will require presenting at customer and partner meetings and conferences and engaging with customers, partners and prospects to discuss business and technical challenges that our software could be a fit for.Requirements:Our Senior Product Marketing Manager needs a blend of technical skills, industry knowledge, and management expertise to effectively drive product development and market success in the content and data compare and merge market:Industry Knowledge:Understanding of Content and Data Management and familiarity with version control, content management systems (CMS), and data warehousing solutions.Experience with Compare and Merge Tools such as diff tools, versioning systems, and merge algorithms.Knowledge of Related Markets such as DevOps, data analytics, and enterprise content management (ECM).Technical Skills:Software Development Knowledge particularly related to data comparison, merging, and version control systems like Git.Cloud Computing and SaaS and understanding of how these tools and infrastructure can be deployed in cloud environments or offered as Software as a Service (SaaS).Familiarity of data structures, algorithms, API's and integration beneficial to ensure good grounding for customer and partner discussions.Desirable if you have knowledge of or experience with: structured serialisation or markup formats like XML or JSON, document formats and XML grammars such as Docbook, DITA, S1000D, XBRL, and others.Product Management Skills:Roadmap Development based on market needs, customer feedback, and business goals.Market Research to identify customer pain points, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.Scrum and Agile Methodologies - Familiarity with both software development methods to help work with and guide the development teams.User Experience (UX) principles to ensure that the product is intuitive and meets the needs of its users.Analytical and Strategic Thinking:Data-Driven Decision-Making to inform product decisions, such as feature prioritisation and performance tracking.Strategic Vision and capability to align the product's features and functionalities with the broader company strategy and market positioning.Communication and Collaboration:Cross-Functional leadership working with diverse personalities and skillsets including developers, marketers, and sales professionals.Stakeholder Management and communication with various stakeholders, from executives to customers, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the product vision.Customer Engagement to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure customer satisfaction.Regulatory and Compliance Awareness:Industry-Specific Regulation awareness that might affect how data is managed and merged (e.g., HIPAA for healthcare, FINRA for finance).Data Privacy and Security law knowledge to drive best practices for ensuring the security and compliance of our software and its deployment.Educational Background and Experience:Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
