Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Expert to join our team, focusing on the implementation and optimization of cloud infrastructure for mission-critical systems within the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure services and cloud architecture, ensuring that all solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of the DoD. Experience with DevSecOps practices is highly desired, as the candidate will play a key role in ensuring security throughout the development lifecycle, particularly as it pertains to cloud deployments. Knowledge and application of the DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) will be critical to ensure compliance with stringent security requirements. The Azure Cloud Expert will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with stakeholders to ensure system effectiveness and compliance with DoD requirements.Check you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions in Azure for critical DoD systems. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of cloud environments. Provide leadership in cloud architecture design, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost optimization. Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, utilizing tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. Ensure all cloud infrastructure complies with DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) and STIGs. Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide ongoing support for cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues. Interface with various stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations to improve cloud operations. Ensure cloud environments are continuously monitored for security, performance, and cost management. Adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications: Strong at automation tools and scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Proven expertise in Azure Cloud architecture, design, and management including with the DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA). Experience in designing scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for enterprise-level applications. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible. Deep understanding of Azure networking, security, identity, and governance services. Strong knowledge of cloud-based CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Nexus. Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and resolve them efficiently. Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in high-security environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DevSecOps practices and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of security principles such as Zero Trust, IAM, and encryption in transit and at rest. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker. Familiarity with cloud cost management and optimization. Knowledge of DoD cloud security compliance requirements (e.g., STIG, FedRAMP, SCCA). Experience with Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and other monitoring/security tools in Azure. Additional Requirements: Must be eligible for Secret clearance and meet DoD security requirements. Ability to travel as needed to Fort Meade and other required locations.
