The Annenberg School of Journalism seeks a qualified adjunct instructor to teach JOUR 596 Follow the Money: Business and Economics. This graduate-level course is an intensive, reporting-based class that explores business and economic journalism. Students will be tasked with developing business story ideas, refining these ideas into cogent pitches, and delivering work that is of publishable quality.Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.The course will also cover the following basics:Understanding financial marketsReading financial documentsUnderstanding economic dataCrafting business storiesHigh-level, ethical reportingIdeal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in expert business and economic reporting, as well as editing experience.Preferred Experience: Minimum 10 years professional reporting and editing experience with a respected journalistic publication. In addition, university-level teaching experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to help students achieve their academic and professional goals.The hourly range for this position is $37.87 - $46.96.
