You'll work closely with teams like theatre operations, human resources, communications and finance to provide expert legal advice and help tackle novel and thorny cross-disciplinary issues related to general litigation, worker classification and traditional employment laws. You must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize a dynamic and varied workload, and possess excellent judgment. You'll also need to be proactive and engaged, able to work well cross-functionally both internally and externally, excited about supporting our theatre teams and serving our customers, and ready to roll up your sleeves and dig into tough problems!Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Manage disputes from commencement through resolution, providing appropriate updates to cross-functional partners and leadership regarding risk, financial impact, and opportunities to resolve.Manage outside counsel, providing tactical guidance to ensure alignment with Regal's broader legal strategies.Handle a high volume portfolio that encompasses a variety of general litigation and employment matters, including litigation; unemployment claims; administrative audits; agency charges; and workers' compensation claims.Partner closely with human resources and business partners to evaluate legal risks and provide subject matter knowledge on a broad range of employment issues, including wage and hour, recruiting and hiring, training, employee performance management, leaves of absence, disability accommodations, and HR best practices.Draft and revise a variety of employment-related agreements and other written content such as offer letters, contractor agreements, vendor agreements, and more.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions.Proactively prepare for and address operational compliance and employment issues that may arise in the future.Qualifications:JD from a top-tier law school.Active membership with at least one state bar.A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in employment litigation and counseling at a leading law firm.Deep experience with employment laws in multiple states and across a wide range of issues.Proven track record of providing pragmatic and reasoned advice to Finance, HR, and business partners.Excellent writing and communication skills.Ability to efficiently handle and organize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Ability to make quick but informed decisions and advocate for positions that mitigate risk while advancing business goals.Experience in supporting customer service or operations organizations.Professional Skills:Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multi-task and distinguish high-priority matters.Excellent reasoning and analytical skills.Excellent organizational skills.Self-motivated with strong ability to prioritize and recognize critical situations that need immediate attention.Detail-oriented and able to produce both high quality and high volume of work in a timely manner.Education/Experience:JD from an accredited law school.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Bar Admission in a US State required (TN or TX preferred).Computer Skills:Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, database software.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has one direct report.Work Environment:The noise level in the environment is moderate.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
