A full time Designer is needed for a prominent womens activewear brand based in Downtown LA. This brand is popular within the fitness community and sells entirely DTC. This position supports the Creative Director with all design, tech, pd, trend and more. It's a multi-faceted position. Onsite 5 days in Downtown LA.The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications. Job ResponsibilitiesDesign new products in categories of activewear, cocktail dresses or potential expanding categories which represent the brand from concept through completionResponsible for product design process, including market research, competitive shopping, conceptual presentations, design and guidance through fabric, trim, and fitAnalyze past sales success and conceptualize updates to existing stylesPresent designs using CADS and collection linesheets, and maintain real time updatesPrepare information for pattern maker, including front and back Illustrator sketches, initial critical measurements, construction guidance, fabrication info, trim sheetsInitiate Tech Pak and maintain Bill of MaterialsCollaborate researching and sourcing fabric and trimsInvolved in developing color selections and approving lab dipsContribute design and fit feedback during fit sessionsReview development fit samples to ensure design intent, workmanship, quality, correct components, construction and aesthetic were executed as requestedCollaborate with technical, pre-production, planning, pattern makers and sample sewersResponsible for approving bulk fabric for color and qualityCreate PO's to contractors and suppliers related to new style developmentMust be able to manage time and adhere to timelines and deadlinesCommunicate linesheet updates and product changes to all business partners (CEO, COO, Development, Planning, Pre-Production, Production)Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities and supporting an agile teamEssential ExperienceMinimum 6 years experience as a designer, ideally in activewear and/or cocktail dresses. Experience in swim or intimates is a plusDeep love of fitness, fashion industry and on top of the trendsExpert knowledge with Adobe Photoshop and IllustratorIllustrator sketch experience is a mustExtensive knowledge of knitwear and compression fabricsExpert knowledge of garment constructionWorking knowledge of specs, patterns and fittingAdvanced knowledge of Google sheetsSalary 85k-100k+ DOE#J-18808-Ljbffr
