KA (Koch Architects) is a full-service architecture & design firm with expertise in modern residential projects. Our team consists of a passionate group of visual thinkers who care deeply about creating well-crafted, authentic designs. Each project is thoughtfully guided from an initial concept through all stages of design, development of documents, and construction. Located in West Berkeley, the office culture is casual, friendly, and collaborative, while the work is rigorous in quality and detail. With several compelling new projects underway, we have an opportunity for candidates to further develop their skill sets and gain rich experience working with a small team through all stages of the design and delivery process. The ideal candidate is inspired by the legacy of modern architecture, has a passion for materials, fixtures, and finishes, and enough technical knowledge to assist in the development of full construction document packages. Strong Revit skills, the ability to coordinate with consultants and public agencies, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are essential. We also appreciate a good sense of humor! This is a full-time, on-site position for candidates with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in an architectural firm, and 2 years minimum experience in Revit, SketchUp, and CAD.
