Position Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting business analyses and studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis/definition, and cost/benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions, and initiatives. Responsibilities: Conduct business analyses and studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis/definition, and cost/benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions, and initiatives. Prepare forecasts and analyze trends, reporting regulations, and business conditions. Develop and analyze metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports, and recommendations related to management, organizational structure, policy/procedures, and business systems. Identify potential business risks. Required: Active SECRET clearance. Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field. Experience with modeling, simulation, and computation methods; a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a non-STEM field may be substituted for a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field. Alternate education/experience accepted: Associates + 3 years, or High School + 5 years. 1 year of relevant professional experience in business analysis is a plus. Pro-active approach to problem solving and assigned tasks. Willingness and ability to learn and apply new methods as required by the particular analysis. Comfortable working with a number of object-oriented programming languages and environments, such as Python, Java, C++, C#, R, MATLAB, Simulink. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in data analysis and modeling. Desired: A Master of Science degree in a STEM field is highly preferred. Experience applying a variety of analytical and computational methods, including Classical and modern statistics, Differential equations, Linear algebra. Experience using a variety of modeling and simulation methods, including Discrete event simulation, Agent-based modeling, Network simulations, Physics-based modeling, Markov decision processes, Hidden Markov models, Stochastic processes, Monte Carlo and bootstrap methods. #J-18808-Ljbffr
