Learn more: DutiesUnder the general supervision of the Department Chair, the Department Analyst oversees financial reconciliation and analysis of all funds, procurement, day-to-day administrative operations of the department, personnel processes, payroll certification, department scholarships, and department events (for example: showcases, scholarship banquet, and Cinematheque). The incumbent will track, coordinate, and monitor the department's general fund, trust fund, lottery fund, University Foundation funds, and IRA (instructional-related activity) funds.Maintains and reconciles allocations and expenditures for all state and foundation funds.Prepares monthly reconciliation reports for the Department Chair and Dean's Office. Assists the Chair with spending plans.Processes the department's requisitions, chargebacks, procurement card expenditures, and office supplies.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEquivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.Equivalent to two (2) years of full-time, technical, analytical, or administrative experience.Additional experience in the job-related field may be substituted for required education, on a year-for-year basis.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesWorking knowledge of general practices, programs, and/or administrative specialties. Working knowledge of budget, policies, and procedures pertaining to fiscal analysis techniques.Ability and specialized skills to: interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures; perform basic research and statistical analysis; analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistics; compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Proficient in using standard office and financial software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Pay, Benefits, & Work ScheduleThe university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver, and more.Classification: Administrative Analyst/Specialist / 1038 / 1The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3879 - $5150 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
