Sr. System Administrators at Charles IT primarily serve as the top tier of technical escalations and are the architects of custom client projects, while performing the job functions below.Day-to-day responsibilitiesDesign, implement and support cloud infrastructureProvide support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for end usersSupport of Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.Support of virtual environments including VMware and Hyper-VSupport backup and disaster recovery solutionsConfigure, install, and support various network devices and services, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, & securityLiaise with third-party vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionEffectively communicate with customers on ticket progress, impending changes, or agreed outages, etc.Maintain strong client system documentation to include system reviews and recommendationsMaintain daily documentation by entering time, expenses, and all work as service tickets in ConnectWiseMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the IT fieldMCSE 2012/2016 or VCP 6/6.5 certification plus7+ Years of experience in the IT field is preferredExperience with Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, platform, and Advanced Support on Mac OS a plusAWS or Azure experience a plusSuperior communication skills requiredAbility to multi-task and function collaboratively as a member of a client-oriented teamEnthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of a growing company and client baseExcellent follow-through to see tasks through completionHigh level of organization; strong attention to detailWhat we believe in at Charles IT: IT for humans by humans, building up our team through professional and personal development, an emphasis on work/life balance, and fostering a start-up-type environment founded upon a passion for our mission.What you won't find here at Charles IT: boring workdays, stagnant growth, and tolerance for old-school corporate norms that detract from our client and employee experience.We want to hear from you if you can see yourself contributing to this mission through your systems-focused skills and experience!Charles IT offers a competitive benefit program including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Paid Holidays, PTO, 401K, and bonuses.
