Analyst, Privacy and Data GovernanceApplied Materials has an exciting opportunity to join our Global Litigation & Compliance Team. We're looking for an experienced and practical Data Governance Analyst to help support the implementation and management of our data governance strategy. This role requires experience in data management, data governance frameworks, and prior global program management expertise. In this role, you will be supporting the privacy and data governance team in aligning and maintaining data policies, procedures, and standards across multiple business and support functions. You will work closely with the business units, engineering, procurement, information security, and human resources teams. This position requires excellent communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and keen judgment for prioritization and execution in a fast-paced environment.Scroll down the page to see all associated job requirements, and any responsibilities successful candidates can expect.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards, to ensure data integrity and security across the organization.Conduct Privacy and Data Impact Assessments to assess data risks associated with new projects, tools, or processes.Maintain policies and standards to ensure the proper access, usage, storage, and sharing of data across the organization.Maintain program roadmaps, KPIs, and other metrics to measure and report progress to senior leadership.Collaborate with information technology and business functions to develop and implement data governance tools, technologies, and infrastructure to support data governance initiatives.Develop and deliver training programs to increase data governance awareness and understanding across the organization.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Program Management, Risk Management, Information Management or similar degree from a recognized university. Minimum 4-6 years' relevant experience in data governance, privacy, data management or a related field, preferably in the technology sector.Experience working on company-wide data governance or management initiatives at a global company with cross functional teams, capable of handling projects with notable risk and complexity.Experience in implementing data governance tools, technologies, and infrastructure.Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships, including experience supporting stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Ability to communicate complex ideas and anticipate potential objections.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable integrity, good judgment, flexibility, and pragmatism.Strong presentation, data visualization, and PowerPoint skills.Creative problem solver who is detail oriented with sound business judgment.Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, and project management skills.Comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment and able to manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience within a Legal team, including managing programs related to Privacy, Data Governance and other legal issues.MBA or equivalent advanced degree.Additional language skills.Company FactsNasdaq listing: AMATFiscal 2023 Revenue: $26.5 billionFiscal 2023 R&D: $3 billionFounded: November 10, 1967Global Presence: 150 cities in 24 countriesEmployees: ~34,000 worldwidePatents: ~20,000 issuedApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
