The Stanford Department of Applied Physics invites applications for the 2025 Karel Urbanek and the Marvin Chodorow Postdoctoral Fellowships. This annual program is aimed at recruiting young scientists of exceptional ability with the potential to do outstanding research in our department. The appointment includes 2 years of support with a competitive salary and benefits, and the competition is open to both theorists and experimentalists.Before applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below. Applications and supporting credentials must be submitted through Academic Jobs Online (AJO). Candidates are asked to submit a curriculum vitae including a publication list, and a two-page research statement that details proposed research and possible collaborations within Applied Physics. Candidates should also arrange to have two letters of reference submitted. Candidates are also required to identify one or more host faculty within Applied Physics who will serve as a faculty sponsor for the proposed research. The Stanford faculty sponsor(s) for each fellowship candidate must submit a nomination letter on behalf of the candidate. Candidates without a Stanford faculty sponsor will not be considered. Please note, you must apply through AJO; applications received via email or any other means will not be considered. The deadline for applications for the 2024-25 competition will be 12:00 noon PST on Thursday, October 31, 2024. We expect to be able to make offers to successful candidates by mid-December.
