In this position, your primary responsibility will involve the design and application of innovative colors, graphics, and finishes within our helmet category.You will collaborate closely with the Lead Color, Materials, and Finish Designer and the Product Manager. Together, you will be responsible for taking the seasonal color and graphic direction, combining it with rider-centric insights to craft and oversee the development of a sophisticated, forward-thinking, and cohesive range of helmets.The RoleTranslate the seasonal concept and color direction into appropriate color and graphic designs for the helmet category.Generate branding concepts and ideas for our new product introductions (NPIs).Create, supervise, and communicate technical documentation to our production partners.Oversee sample management and collaborate with creative leads and project managers to secure design approvals.Collaborate with Industrial Design and Vendors to innovate finishes and graphic techniques from conception to market release.Address production and quality challenges alongside vendors and the team.Maintain and update the Visual Line Plan.Lead projects related to inline products, custom athlete requests, and quick turnarounds.Travel to vendors as necessary for production oversight and relationship management.Leverage 3D software for visualizing and refining product designs.What You Need To Win3-5 years of hands-on experience in crafting innovative color, graphic, and finish packages for hard goods, preferably within the outdoor industry.A collaborative and innovative mindset, constantly open to exploring new ideas and approaches in conjunction with cross functional partners.Exceptionally keen attention to detail, with an obsession for the finer points.A growth-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.Extensive expertise in product design, including experience with materials, and surface finish selections.Comprehensive knowledge of design processes, principles and color theory.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.Prior experience with 3D rendering software or a willingness to acquire this skill.While familiarity with the cycling industry is a plus, it is not mandatory.PayBelow is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:CaliforniaBase Pay Range: $84,919 - $147,758BenefitsAlong with competitive pay, as a full-time teammate you are eligible for the following benefits beginning 30 days from date of hire:PPO, EPO, HMO Kaiser and HDHP competitive Healthcare benefit plans offered (which include coverage for acupuncture and physical therapy)Dental and Vision planHealth Savings Account with a company paid HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA401(k) Matching up to $5,000 plus company paid retirement plan feesProfit Sharing PlanCompany paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insuranceEmployee Assistance programSick, Vacation and Paid HolidaysEmployee discounts and perk programParental LeaveSpecialized bike for new babyEducation and events reimbursementFor additional information on benefits and perks, please visit:
