OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR located in Washington, DC. This will be a contract role within the U.S. Department of State.The U.S. Department of State is the lead institution for the conduct of American diplomacy. The Department's mission is to advance U.S. national security interests, fight terrorism, protect U.S. interests abroad, and implement foreign policy initiatives.POSITION OVERVIEWTITLE: Office AdministratorCheck below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.LOCATION: Washington, DCSECURITY CLEARANCE: A Secret security clearance is required for this position; however, the contractor may begin work with an interim Secret security clearance.PERIOD OF PERFORMANCEThe period of performance for this order will be one (01) year from the date of award with the option to exercise four (04) additional periods, subject to performance, need, and funding.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms a variety of responsible duties, relieving managers of administrative details and assisting in their responsibilities.Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents, ensuring correct grammar and format.Maintains and updates office SharePoint, leading comprehensive reforms as needed.Establishes and maintains an accurate Employee Master Time and Attendance Record.Tracks requests for review and clearance addressed to the office director.Schedules meetings and conferences according to supervisor's instructions.Receives visitors and phone calls, determining the nature of requests.Responsible for ensuring requests for action or information are communicated to responsible Office staff.Maintains suspense records on all correspondence and action documents.Makes travel arrangements and inputs officers' vouchers into the travel system.Assists in preparation for moves of individual offices or entire office.Requisitions office supplies and maintains office records.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSU.S. resident.A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Two to eight years' experience in relevant fields.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.Knowledge of foreign policy issues or processes.LEVEL OF EFFORTHours for the position will be Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.TELEWORKThis is a hybrid position that allows for a combination of in-office presence and regular telework.POSITION LOCATIONThe physical work location is the INL/GPP office at State Annex (SA-01), Columbia Plaza, 2401 E St. NW, Washington, DC.This position is contingent upon award of contract for BPA Call.ABOUT CREATIVE CORRECTIONSAt Creative Corrections, we strive to create a culture where we attract and retain talented individuals.
