We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Activity Director to enhance the quality of life for our residents in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will develop and implement engaging, meaningful, and therapeutic activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents. This role requires creativity, compassion, and strong organizational skills.Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.Key Responsibilities:Program Development: Design and coordinate a varied calendar of activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and social events.Resident Engagement: Foster strong relationships with residents to understand their interests and preferences, ensuring activities are tailored to their needs.Staff Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, social workers, and other team members to create holistic activity plans that align with residents' care plans.Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with activities and events, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.Budget Management: Oversee the activity budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively while seeking opportunities for sponsorships and community partnerships.Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs through resident feedback and participation rates, making adjustments as needed.Safety Compliance: Ensure that all activities adhere to safety standards and regulations, prioritizing the well-being of residents.Community Outreach: Plan and organize outings and events that involve the wider community, promoting socialization and engagement beyond the facility.Qualifications:Experience in activity programming in a senior living or healthcare setting is highly desirable.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents, families, and staff.Knowledge of the needs and interests of older adults, particularly those with varying levels of mobility and cognitive abilities.Creative, energetic, and organized, with a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 40 per weekBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftExperience:Organizational skills: 1 year (Required)Ability to Relocate:Winchester, IN 47394: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
