Job description: This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Attorney who will represent personal injury clients in New York.Handle a caseload, attend court, negotiate settlements, oversee trial preparation, conduct trials, and attend meditations and arbitrationsAdvise clients of claim liability and legal rights and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.Conduct depositions and respond to discovery demandsAbility to conduct discovery and draft motionsGather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of the caseEvaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of casesGather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, evaluate findings, and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases, and update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of plaintiffs personal injury experience.Trial experience is a plus.The ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required.Must possess a license to practice law in New York State.
