The optical coordinator provides administrative support to the optical department and will work primarily at our Roslindale clinic. Essential FunctionsGreet and assist patients with frame selection, lens measurements, and ordering of optical productsPlace orders for glasses to contracted manufacturersTracks and receives inventory, dispenses glasses, maintains invoices, and completes necessary paperwork related to billing; works with the accounting department as neededCollect patients' fees and co-pays, personal and health insurance information Work with the optician to conduct lens blank & frame inventoryOrder supplies for the optical departmentMaintain the optical areaAssists with edging lensesAssists with year-end inventory of framesAdheres to all internal clinic policies and applicable regulations as indicated by the lead optician at the clinicPerforms other duties as assignedCommunicate with patients in person or by phone regarding optical ordersHourly Rate: $21/hour NECO is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
