This is because our team is comprised of talented, dedicated people who share our enthusiasm and sense of pride.Overview of Pest Control Technician ResponsibilitiesOur Pest Control Technician is responsible for delivering pest management and consulting services to customers on an assigned route. The ability to work independently, and as part of a team is essential. DRIVING ROUTES include a company vehicle, EZPass, and fuel card. WALKING ROUTES include an unlimited MTA Metrocard will be provided.Work SchedulesWe have day schedules Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday; the start time can vary between 6 AM and 9 AM depending on the day. We also have a night shift available; the start times vary between 6 PM and 10 PM depending on the day.Day in The Life of Pest Control TechniciansManage an assigned pest control routeFollows daily route schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each client siteDiscusses scope of services provided with customers before leaving client siteRecommends the most efficient pest solutions to meet customer needsProvides customers with consistent, top-notch service to meet needsTakes advantage of opportunities to promote and sell company servicesWorks cooperatively with all coworkers, customers, partners, and vendorsIs available to work some weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as neededPromptly updates the PestPac Mobile platform after each service performedProvides daily detailed reports on services provided to clients as requiredQualifications for Pest Control TechniciansHigh School diploma or equivalent, college a plusHave or be able to pass tests to acquire NYSDEC Certifications in 7A, 7FNYS driver's license (IF driving route)Friendly, outgoing, professional demeanor, and appearanceExperience in field/route sales/service, restaurant, food service/food manufacturing, or other related background would be a plusExperience in pest management would be a plus but is not requiredCompensation and Benefits for Pest Control TechniciansColony provides an environment where our employees can grow and advance professionally, with a healthy balance between work and personal lives.
