The Senior Payroll Specialist reports to the Payroll Manager and will be responsible for processing US bi-weekly payroll, along with monthly payrolls within the UK, Germany, Japan and Singapore. The Senior Payroll Specialist will ensure pay is processed on time and accurately.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Utilize Workday payroll systemAssist with the payroll entry and review process for 900+ colleagues globallyCoordinate with Human Resources to ensure accuracy of earnings and deductions including taxable fringe benefits and garnishmentsPrepare/finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll metric reports, annual compensation statements, and annual surveysMaintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures as necessaryMaintain and organize payroll records in compliance with established retention policiesPrepare and review filing of multi state/local and global payroll taxes, ensuring that payroll tax filings are timely and accurateVerify accuracy of all GL and tax codes within payrollPrepare payroll Journal EntriesPrepare monthly payroll reconciliationsProcess, maintain and resolve all items related to Federal, State and local payroll taxes in a timely mannerPrepare annual workers compensation insurance analysisReview year end payroll processing including but not limited to the creation of W2s/W2cs, P11Ds, PAYE Settlement Agreements and IR8AsRespond to payroll requests from colleagues, managers, auditors and vendorsReview workflows and implement streamlining measuresRemain current with professional knowledgeAdditional duties and projects as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience with Payroll Software (Workday a plus)Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field preferredUnderstanding of multi-state payroll processing, including tax and other regulatory reporting requirementsExperience processing UK payroll a plusExperience processing transactions related to equity compensation, stock options and deferred compensationAdvanced knowledge of MS OfficeMaintain colleague confidence and protect payroll operations by illustrating tact, discretion, and good judgement in handling sensitive and confidential informationPositive attitude and ability to interact well with othersAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesSuperior written and oral communication skillsHighly organized and detail orientedCPP Certification a plusSalary: $80 - 95k. Commensurate with experience and location.
