As a Senior Interior Designer, you will use your conceptual abilities to lead teams, combining design, craft, and client acumen to foster NBBJ's design culture. As lead designer, you will work collaboratively with teams, delivering diverse projects to exceed our client's expectations. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, a beautiful portfolio of creative designs (with an emphasis on workplace projects) and the motivation to engage with the array of NBBJ's resources in achieving high-performance, sustainable outcomes.In your new role, you will:Lead interior design in pursuit of design excellenceProvide mentoring and guidance to team membersLead clients through the design process, uncovering requirements and supporting the growth of their businesses and cultureDevelop and implement overall design concepts and finish palettes through all phases of designLead client facing design presentationsWhat you will need to succeed:10-15 years of professional experience in Interior DesignBachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture with a strong portfolio of realized interior projectsExperience with large, complex commercial or corporate projects; life science is a plusLEED or WELL Accreditation or within 18 months of hireExcellent leadership, verbal and communication skills, and effective client relationship skills and talent for leading and working with diverse teams of designersHighly creative conceptual design and schematic design skillsStrong graphic communication skillsDemonstrated knowledge of Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesignDeep understanding of selection and specification of materials and finishesExperienced in furniture selection and specificationDesire to help drive innovative design solutionsProven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to lead multiple projects with competing deadlinesAbility to work in a collaborative, design focused open environmentAbility to travel as the project(s) requiresThe annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $90,000 and $125,000.
