The Project Engineer role is a key position within the team. Under the supervision of a Manager or Project Manager, you will have a great range of responsibilities and strong professional development opportunities. You will work on diverse building types including education, healthcare, municipalities, commercial, and more, while mentoring Engineering Interns and collaborating with clients and Revit Managers.Position Responsibilities:In this role, you will be responsible for:Analysis and design of building structural systems in coordination with senior engineers, adhering to current code requirements and accepted engineering standards.Interfacing and communicating with clients and other professionals, including coordination of drawings with architects and consultants.Providing REVIT assistance on projects.Completing QA/QC prior to submission to management.Performing Construction Administration duties such as site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and responding to RFIs.Position Qualifications:To qualify, you must have:Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited University.5 years of experience in the design and preparation of construction documents for building structural systems.Excellent written and communication skills for coordinating with professionals.Thorough knowledge of structural engineering principles and methods.Knowledge of local, state, and national building codes.Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Blue Beam, and relevant software.Proficiency in RAM, RISA, and ETABS software.REVIT modeling software skills preferred.A valid Driver's License preferred.A commitment to values such as Trust, Humility, Respect, Excellence, Accountability, and Discipline.A belief in the value of diversity of thought and perspectives.Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.Our Team:Stewart was founded as a Structural Engineering firm and has grown to be one of the largest structural firms in the Carolinas.
