The Patient Recruitment/Community Engagement Specialist is an on-site role dedicated to engaging, recruiting, and supporting patients in deciding whether participation in a clinical trial is right for them. This role involves direct interaction with potential participants at clinical trial sites, in the community and during off-site events. As the front-line representative of the clinical trial, the Specialist will play a pivotal role in patient education, recruitment, and enrollment support. This role includes some evening and weekend coverage.Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.Key Responsibilities:Patient Engagement: Serve as the initial point of contact for potential participants, providing clear and accurate information about the clinical trial, including its purpose, procedures, and potential benefits and risks.Patient Recruitment: Actively engage with patients at clinical trial sites and during off-site events such as vaccination drives, health fairs, and community outreach initiatives to promote the study and encourage participation.Support Decision-Making: Assist potential participants in making decisions about their involvement in studies by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance throughout the screening process.Pre-Screening Coordination: Manage pre-screening activities, ensuring that all patient interactions are documented accurately and follow the study's protocols.Event Participation: Represent clinical trials at community events, providing information and resources to educate the public about current studies and their importance in advancing public health.Trust-Building: Establish and build trust with the community and potential study participants by delivering compassionate, patient-centered support.Qualifications:High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required.1-3 years of experience in patient recruitment, community outreach, or a related role in healthcare or clinical research settings.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with diverse patient populations.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks.Familiarity with clinical trials or healthcare services is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data entry systems is a plus.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, and to travel locally for community events.Why Join Us?
