Position Summary:University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment.Job Responsibilities:The Assistant Director, Digital Marketing plays a critical role in Annual Giving's mission to impact the world through philanthropic engagement and annual support of the NYU experience. Grow online fundraising and lead Annual Giving digital initiatives, which includes building digital email campaigns, complex audience segmentation, and donor engagement through numerous digital platforms. Serve as the operational point person for Marketo, UDAR's email marketing platform, and serve as the department's digital strategist for Giving Day and Giving Tuesday. In collaboration with leadership, support the management and execution of Rising Violets, NYU's crowdfunding platform.Qualifications:Required Education:Check out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today. Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience: 3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including experience with digital direct response, marketing, and content management.Preferred Experience: 5+ years experience in an academic, non-profit and/or development environment. Familiarity with fundraising databases such as Advance and Blackbaud is a plus.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of digital fundraising and email best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate and interact with various staff partners. Attention to detail to ensure content and data accuracy. Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines. Experience writing and developing content and working with external consultants and vendors. Highly familiar with web and digital marketing strategies, experience in digital content management systems, project management skills and associated software, Google Analytics implementation and reporting, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Marketo Engage, or other marketing automation systems.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proven record of increasing revenue through digital channels. Demonstrated ability to train others in technical aspects of digital tools and platforms. Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards. Experience in graphic design. Experience in higher education, non-profit, or development environment.Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
