Please ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.OpeningFull Time 40 hours Range URG 117 Ofc University Mkting & CommsSchedule8 AM-5 PMResponsibilitiesGENERAL PURPOSE:Responsible for developing and implementing the creative vision of the University's brand, including the design, delivery, and execution of the brand's identity, voice, and style. Oversees all aspects of digital and traditional creative strategies and solutions to illuminate the unique personality of the University's brand and align with the strategic vision and goals of the University. Leads and oversees the strategic development of creative design systems, campaigns, messaging, overseeing production of final concepts and providing direction for concept development and production staff.As a leader within the Office of University Marketing and Communications, drives innovation and advances creative direction in all aspects of work and conceives of and creates ways to unify the creative output across the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops and leads the University of Rochester's creative vision to help the organization achieve its marketing and communication objectives. In partnership with the leaders and colleagues across the Communications team, crystallizes the creative direction of the brand. Develops and implements enterprise guidelines and design systems across multiple platforms to ensure consistency and quality.Works collaboratively with marketing and communications teams and business partners to lead the development of creative and content solutions supporting initiatives and campaigns. Oversees the creative process from concept to execution.Supervises members of the creative and multimedia team, including establishing goals, processes, and practices to drive creative excellence and outstanding solutions and production.Provides input into capital and/or operational budgets. Assists leadership in setting and managing the annual budget.Develops and implements standard processes for various aspects of the creative workflow, including concept development, design and production, trend research, and streamlined integration of resources.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related field required;Masters degree preferred;15 years of relevant and progressive experience required;5 years of supervisory experience preferred;Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Experience working in higher education with a focus on creative strategy development and implementation preferred.Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills required.Ability to interface effectively with leaders and staff at all levels required.Ability to lead teams, vendors, and consultants preferred.Experience with creative design campaigns preferred.Ability to gather, analyze and provide data and market intelligence required.Ability to manage stressful situations in a solution-oriented way required.Excellent management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail required.Ability to oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously required.Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing content preferred.The University of Rochester is committed to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
