As a strategic business partner, the Senior Director Training and Development is responsible for driving productivity through engagement, including identifying and developing systemic and customized solutions for training and developing for the sales and marketing divisions of Bluegreen Vacations to ensure sales, bench strength and profitability reach and exceed budgeted targets. Manage and oversee our current and future talent development strategy in multiple regions with a focus on leadership and management development of all members of the sales, retail marketing, and marketing organization including VOI sales, marketing, and package sales. Provide leadership and guidance while collaborating with the senior leadership teams to achieve strategic sales, marketing and leadership development goals enabling Bluegreen Vacations to attain higher levels of success while adding to the overall preparation and development of our sales, retail marketing, and marketing leadership bench strength. Responsibilities:Responsible for fulfilling training and leadership development plans for high volume business operations across multiple requisitions through building strong business partnerships with department sales/marketing leaders.Partners and coaches training managers/sales managers on best practices with recruiting interviewing and retention including providing one-on-one support with reviewing resumes, interviewing questions/techniques.Though sales training, marketing training, and podium training skills will always be a required component of this role. Leadership Development is the backbone of the correct candidate. This role will be working diligently with sales managers, and directors to prepare them for next level leadership opportunities.Talent Mapping will also be a requirement whether ability to learn or prior experience will be one of the more specific duties when traveling from sales center to sales center identifying our future leaders.Evaluates/Approves operational sales and marketing training and development strategies, methodologies, technologies, systems, organizational structure, budget, and resources to be implemented.Defines performance, productivity parameters and desired results for the department activities. Including 30-60-90 day tracking of VPG performance by sales trainer and coaches trainers/leaders when where needed.Maintains daily performance reports for all company podium presenters as well as having their teams audit process both in person and by eagle eye camera systems.Prepares/Conducts group presentations about our training activities and each graduate's results.Communicates Company's directions, policies and procedures to employees in multiple departments.Approves direct report expenses related to business travel, training, tuition, salary raise, promotions, new hires, terminations, etc. according to the Company's policies and procedures.Manages/Coaches people, delivering performance appraisals, approving employee changes, defining staffing needs, evaluating/approving career and development actions, as well as sales and marketing training needs.Develops/Performs many other administrative, operational, and technical tasks/activities required to support area results, such as conducting quality assurance and standard operating procedure compliance inspections, analyzing trends in customer comment card information and suggesting/implementing resolutions to any quality assurance issues, creating action plans for trend resolution and measured follow up, and conducting new employee orientation and training at specific resorts.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.A proven High Integrity brand plus 5+ years' prior experience as a sales leader first, then an additional 5+ years in sales training or development function. Fundamental understanding and experience in the podium presentation process also as must. Experience with creating and upgrading new member and member training and/or leadership development content also required. Experience with Virtual Technology or the ability to learn how to deliver training and development function in a completely virtual format is a plus.HR policies and procedures related to training, recruitment, and employment. Advanced communication skills with the ability to interact with associates and potential candidates at all levels. Must be a strong speaker and organized with ability to multi-task and prioritize; time management skills. Detail-oriented. Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.Solid analytical and critical thinking skills. Proactive, self-motivated and able to take initiative.
