We're seeking a customer-obsessed Principal UX Designer to join us in building unparalleled solutions that support the health, wealth, and wellbeing of our global workforce.Responsibilities:Define the UX vision and strategy for an emerging product with impact across Amazon.Analyze customer problems and oversee the design of delightful solutions that meet business goals.Work closely with product and business partners to develop a shared vision and lead the design process to deliver on those objectives.Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, data, customer feedback, user research, and technical constraints/opportunities.Quickly iterate on user flows, wireframes, design mockups, and prototypes to conceptualize new product initiatives.Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and levels of the organization.Present design work to partners and executive leadership for review, feedback, and approval.Mentor other designers and elevate the overall quality of the team's work.Additional Role Expectations:Leads with passion and conviction, inspiring others to share the same vision.Raises the bar on design quality while also driving operational excellence at scale.Exhibits excellent judgment in navigating challenging issues to drive product progress.Communicates effectively within the team, across peer groups, and to senior leadership.Plays a visible, driving role in the Design community with innovative ideas.Defines and socializes a clear vision for design innovation and big thinking, while maintaining speed of delivery.Cultivates a culture of using data and customer insights to defend design solutions.Applies systems-level design thinking to drive scalable, efficient solutions.Qualifications:10+ years of design experience.Have an available online portfolio.Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design.Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution.Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.Experience designing large-scale systems and applications.Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data.A Day in the Life: In this role, you will be responsible for defining, articulating, and championing the future vision for how our employees discover and manage their benefits. You'll develop strong relationships with fellow design leaders and partner closely with product management, engineering, and business counterparts to launch innovative experiences for global employees. Using data and customer insights, you'll facilitate constructive design debates, influence product priorities, and advocate for the needs of employees. As the creative lead, you'll provide design oversight for a pod of designers, regularly reviewing designs and concepts with customers, cross-functional partners, executives, and stakeholders.About the Team: BXT designs, deploys, and manages benefits on behalf of 1.5+ million Amazonians and their families worldwide.
