As a Software Engineer, you will assume a pivotal role in the planning and implementing creative software solutions, driving value for our organization.Primary ResponsibilitiesSolution Design:Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their business requirements.Architect comprehensive end-to-end software solutions, creating efficient and elaborate systems.Work closely with other engineers to collectively collaborate and build solutions that fulfill business needs.Data Integration:Seamlessly integrate data from our data warehouse into our web portal.Create self-service processes so our data science team can easily create and update data in the web portal.Security and Governance:Implement security measures and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.Uphold unwavering compliance with data governance policies and industry best practices.Documentation and Training:Create comprehensive documentation for use with other engineers on our team.Create consumer friendly documentation for our clients that access data through our API.Collaboration and Support:Forge collaborations with data engineers and data scientists to offer steadfast data support for analytics initiatives.Play a pivotal role in the troubleshooting and resolution of data and software related issues, ensuring uninterrupted data-driven decision-making.Preferred Skills And ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.Demonstrated track record in the role of a Software Engineer or similar role.Strong proficiency in an OOP programming language such as Typescript, Python, Java, C#.Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.Ability to learn and master new technologies and frameworks quickly.Experience in applying data visualization best practices and adhering to UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) principles.Exceptional problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.Compensation and Location:The salary range is $72,000-$142,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This role can be located remotely within the US.What makes this a great opportunity?Join an innovative, high growth company with a solid industry track record.Bring your expertise and ideas to directly impact and help build the next generation of MedInsight products and solutions.Enjoy significant visibility in your work and be recognized for your wins.Work for a company that values your wellbeing and professional growth, offering a flexible work environment, generous benefits package, and investment in the development of your career.Milliman BenefitsWe offer competitive benefits which include the following based on plan eligibility:Medical, dental and vision coverage for employees and their dependents, including domestic partners.A 401(k) plan with matching program, and profit sharing contribution.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).A discretionary bonus program.Paid Time Off (PTO) starts accruing on the first day of work and can be used for any reason; full-time employees will accrue 15 days of PTO per year, and employees working less than a full-time schedule will accrue PTO at a prorated amount based on hours worked.Family building benefits, including adoption and fertility assistance and paid parental leave up to 12 weeks for employees who have worked for Milliman for at least 12 months and have worked at least 1,250 hours in the preceding 12-month period.A minimum of 8 paid holidays.Milliman covers 100% of the premiums for life insurance, AD&D, and both short-term and long-term disability coverage.Flexible spending accounts allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for dependent care, transportation, and applicable medical needs.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.The expected application deadline for this job is June 30, 2024.#J-18808-Ljbffr
