Principal Scientist- Formulation Development Below, you will find a complete breakdown of everything required of potential candidates, as well as how to apply Good luck.Location: South Carolina Salary: $120,000 - 140,000 + Benefits + Bonus A leading manufacturer for health and wellness products, particularly known for its focus on dietary supplements for both humans and pets, is looking to bring on a Principal Formulation Scientist to their South Carolina site. This organization emphasizes the importance of research and development, ensuring that its products are backed by scientific evidence. Its product range includes joint health supplements, probiotics, and other nutritional aids designed to enhance overall well-being.Responsibilities: Develop formulations for veterinary and consumer nutritional solid dose products such as soft chews, powders and liquids. Assist in overseeing the formulation and development of new food products, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.Conduct research to identify new ingredients, technologies, and trends in food science to enhance product offerings.Address formulation challenges and troubleshoot issues that arise during product development or production.Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of formulations, processes, and testing results for internal and regulatory purposes.Work closely with marketing, quality assurance, and production teams to align product development with market needs and manufacturing capabilities.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and team members in formulation techniques and best practices.Requirements: Minimum of BS in chemistry, pharmacy, food sciences, life sciences or related field with 10+ years of hands on experience in solid dosage formulation. At least 3 years of experience in pet product formulation Prior background in pet food, food science or culinary with exposure to soft chews, powders, liquids, and creating formulations. A strong understanding in food science formulation such as fat, protein, sugars, starch, etc. Familiarity with food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and quality assurance standards.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
