Job Description - Case Specialist - Westborough District Court (2400095B)Skills, Experience, Qualifications, If you have the right match for this opportunity, then make sure to apply today.Position Summary: This series is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the processing of cases, including entering data in automated systems, within an office of a Clerk-Magistrate, a Register of Probate, or an equivalent office.In addition to case processing duties, this series is responsible for providing service to the public and other individuals who have business with the court, consistent with policies on confidentiality.Organizational Levels:Case Specialist I: Entry level position; expected to perform a variety of duties which teach them the business of the office.Case Specialist II: Second level position; expected to perform more complex case processing functions.Case Specialist III: Third level position; expected to perform advanced case processing functions with limited supervision.Case Specialist IV: Fourth level position; expected to function as a resource person within a major work unit.Duties:Provides customer service to attorneys, litigants, law enforcement personnel, and the general public.Receives training and assists experienced users on MassCourts.Performs general case intake duties, including receiving court papers and documents.Prepares complaints, petitions, summonses, and other standard form documents.Answers incoming phone calls, routes callers, and provides routine information.Performs cashiering duties, including receiving money and issuing receipts.Maintains statistical data concerning case processing activities.Performs related duties as required.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Graduation from high school or its equivalent.Some general clerical or customer service experience.Ability and experience using personal computers, including word processing software.Ability to serve the public in a courteous and professional manner.Ability to learn the procedures and functions of the office.Ability to perform routine data entry at an acceptable rate of speed.Preferred Qualifications:Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply; Spanish and Portuguese preferred.Employment with the Trial Court is contingent upon passage of a criminal record check.Primary Location:United States-Massachusetts-Westborough District CourtJob:Administrative ServicesAgency:District Court Admin OfficeSchedule:Full-timeShift:DaySalary:$44,865.27 Yearly#J-18808-Ljbffr
