The IT Intern is primarily responsible for supporting water/wastewater technology design, including workstations, firewalls, servers, and switches. These systems typically require updates, documentation, backups, endpoint protection, and regular review. The IT group is responsible for day-to-day internal and external support.What your day-to-day will look like and what you will learn on the job:Assists staff with providing design, solutions, and/or product specifications per end-user requirements.Assists with proactive maintenance of clients' systems including Windows Servers, Microsoft Windows clients.Assists with updating customer records and network documentation in the system.Assists with onsite work for municipal clients, including hardware installation and process start-up/testing.Assists with maintaining and reviewing open service tickets.Occasionally lifts items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.Education Requirement:Pursuing the completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree in an Information Technology Field.Must-haves, what you will bring:Advanced Computer Skills, Literacy, & Proficiency.Effective oral, written, & digital communication skills.Ability to interact easily with other design staff.Effective organizational skills for productive tasks and time management.Ability to identify and solve problems promptly.Compensation: The hourly pay for this position is $21.00.
