This role will lead the Office for Field Education and Community Outreach, a critical department dedicated to enriching student learning experiences through hands-on, real-world opportunities in healthcare and social service settings. The Director will develop and expand partnerships with hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and social service organizations, ensuring that our students receive valuable fieldwork placements. In addition, the Director will oversee the management of clinical outreach initiatives and our mobile health service division, designed to serve the surrounding communities. Click here to explore options.Affordable HealthcareRetirementTuition Remission (For eligible employees, their dependents, and spouse)Professional DevelopmentThe Director for the Office for Field Education and Community Outreach (OFECO) will provide comprehensive programmatic and administrative leadership including overseeing the coordination and management of field education programs, contract management, student compliance, site acquisition, and the maintenance of partnerships with clinical and community organizations. The Director is also responsible for managing the College's community outreach initiatives, including scheduling and partnership development. In collaboration with the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, the Director will play a key role in cultivating and maintaining relationships with hospitals, health agencies, and social service organizations that support student field education, community outreach, and mobile health services. Additionally, the Director will oversee Ball State Health's professional development programs and micro-credential offerings delivered through OFECO. This position requires travel to community and clinical sites across Indiana, as well as participation in outreach events and mobile service delivery activities, including some evening and weekend commitments.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education, community health, healthcare administration, a health profession, human services, or related area. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 10 or more years of professional experience in the areas of education, community health, healthcare administration, health and/or human service delivery, or a related area will be considered.Minimum of three years of experience in a health care organization, social service agency, or a higher education institute training students in the health professions, the capacity to organize and work with data software systems, and experience working with the public.Required CertificationsAuthorization to work in the US.
