We are looking for a seasoned consumer finance professional to join our team as a District Manager/AVP. The District Manager provides guidance, supervises, trains, and evaluates Branch Managers as well as assists managers in meeting/reaching sales, growth, and profitability goals.Position: District Manager/AVPHours of Work:Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. Saturday hours required seasonally and as business needs require. Full-Time, Exempt.To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs.Supervisory Responsibility: Branch Offices & PersonnelReports To: VP of Branch OperationsIn This Role, You Will:Be responsible for the administration and coordination of activities for an assigned group of branch offices. You will develop, review, and recommend objectives, policies, and procedures to meet strategic goals and objectives.Responsibilities and Essential Duties:Evaluates the effectiveness of the branch office system and individual branches by directing reviews of branch activity and analyzing activity statistics and related reports. Responsible for income and expense goal setting and end results, consistent with the company's business plan.Provides guidance, supervises, trains, and evaluates Branch Managers. Assists managers in meeting/reaching sales, growth, profitability goals.Represents the organization in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.Arranges and coordinates monthly staff meetings with Branch Managers to provide effective communications and support to subordinate personnel.Develops and monitors various department budgets. Reviews and approves budget amendments. Validates and documents all personnel actions and compensation plans within delegated authority.Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations throughout the branch system.Completes semi-annual Branch Operational Review of all branches under his/her supervision to audit customer service, business development, loan and sales credit transactions, insurance product knowledge and sales, delinquency and collections, cash handling procedures, and branch security.Interprets and relays critical information such as policy or regulatory changes to branch operations.Drives positive, effective, and productive initiatives that have impact beyond branch operations.Consistently displays and encourages behaviors and results consistent with Mariner Finance values such as carrying out Mariner's mission statement and Customer Obsession (GLAD).Participates and actively engages in company meetings and professional development activities to keep abreast of current trends and changing environment to enhance competency.May perform additional functions depending on market demand and branch staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service. Other functions include but are not limited to: collecting payments, completing and processing loan applications, contacting customers for late payments, cashiering, answering phones, photocopying, filing, etc.Required Qualifications:Minimum of six (6) years of related experience in the Consumer Lending and/or Financial Services industry with increasingly responsible work experience serving in capacities with decision-making responsibility.Three (3) years of successful managerial experience with demonstrated ability in establishing and controlling complex budgets, coordinating multiple responsibilities, delegating daily management of operations activities, and planning for further activities to principal direct reports.Bachelor's degree in a discipline such as Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics; or military rank (e.g., E-4, W1, or O1 and above). Additional, applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree.Reliable transportation required with the ability to travel up to 70% of the time.Demonstrated managerial experience in setting work priorities for, developing, mentoring, and appraising employee's work performance.Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with vendors, service dealers, customers, and all levels of company personnel.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and financial services programs.Demonstrated impact of initiatives above and beyond branch operations.Must obtain applicable, required licenses to sell insurance products that are offered to customers by the branch.Must perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location except in the event of an emergency as determined by the company in consultation, as necessary, with applicable regulatory agencies.Preferred Qualifications:Successful experience as a Branch Manager for Mariner Finance, LLC or any affiliate or subsidiary with consistent demonstrated achievement of assigned KPIs.Physical Demands:If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; operate computer and phone systems; and talk or hear.
