Position Overview The Vice President of Marketing, Precision Oncology will be responsible for setting and characterizing winning product strategies and developing related promotional tactical brand plans that drive revenue growth for the on-market Precision Oncology portfolio in the US. Product strategies will be developed based on comprehensive market and competitive research and will be data driven. Regional assessments and differences will form the basis of where to play recommendations and strategic plans. This role will be responsible for leading and developing marketers, collaborating with the precision oncology business unit and cross functional partners to achieve product goals and objectives. This role will work closely with portfolio strategy, the Precision Oncology business unit and corporate strategy leadership to translate longer-term product goals into relevant downstream marketing activities, achievable over a 12-24 month time horizon. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for developing in market strategies across the product portfolio and leading the implementation of commercial programs and tactical plans that support the growth of our precision oncology portfolio. This includes product positioning, and messaging, marketing mix, awareness and educational plans, and customer and digital growth initiatives. Developing and implementing promotional and medical education strategies for Precision Oncology portfolio for HCP audiences, with responsibility for creative development, agency management, segmentation, product positioning and annual brand planning. Conduct in-depth analyses of the company's current markets, competitive landscape and commercial progress in order to inform the development of strategies that will drive enhanced revenue growth. Demonstrates strategic thinking: In the context of a company that is broadening and deepening its commercial footprint, the leader will need to translate broad corporate strategies into clear, specific objectives and continuously be thinking 2-3 years ahead, having a strong understanding of current trends and future opportunities. Strong collaboration & influencing skills: demonstrated ability to interact creatively and collaboratively with internal and external teams and partners while bringing an analytical mindset with the ability to work across several diverse dimensions. Must be a strong team player with demonstrated success in engaging teams and influencing throughout the organization. Own marketing budget and managing initiatives to maximize the investment. Leverage data driven marketing solutions to continuously optimize and drive efficiencies. Collaborate with sales leadership to develop marketing strategies and materials that support sales activities and product promotion. Strong planning, problem-solving, organization, teamwork and project management skills. Results-driven orientation: In an environment where there is increasing competition, the leader will work to achieve revenue goals through the implementation of agreed upon marketing strategies and must demonstrate a consistent sense of urgency to support the sales team in driving accelerated growth. Able to operate effectively in an environment wherein executives are expected to balance strategic activities with daily tactical activities, and to roll up their sleeves when appropriate. Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in or field as outlined in the essential duties. 15+ years of demonstrated success and diverse experience in marketing, sales and managed care, with positions of progressively greater scope and responsibility. 10+ years of experience leading and coaching people. 7+ years of experience working in molecular diagnostics. Deep understanding of the oncology space, specifically in the areas of breast, colon and pancreatic cancer. Strong overall knowledge of oncology marketing, including a track record of how to best position current and products, building fact- and insight-based innovative, compelling marketing programs. Track record of building effective strategic and executing to success. Strong planning, problem-solving, organization, teamwork and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or field as outlined in the essential duties. Salary Range: $277,000.00 - $374,000.00 The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
