The team is comprised of multifaceted individuals who create and deliver trainings in their specific area of expertise.Role SummarySupports the planning, design, and implementation of new professional level credit and non-credit programs and facilitates cross-departmental communication in support of the establishment of new continuing education programs.Research and create slide decks on various topics relating to his/her area of expertisePresent sessions in school districts, agencies and at conferences throughout the stateAttend required meetingsComplete and submit various reportsCreate and facilitate online coursesPossess above average technology skillsEssential FunctionsThese essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.Researches and selects curriculum content, designs courses and prepares assessment tools regarding specific programs to align with objectives and strategy.Disseminates course updates and newly created content with program stakeholders, solicits feedback and alters curriculum if appropriate.Serves as an initial point of contact and facilitates cross-unit communication with colleagues and accreditation resources to obtain relevant and accurate information for the program.Implements and delivers program content.Directs operational logistics of specialized programming segments and communication materials under general supervision.Examples of Work PerformedFacilitating virtual session via Zoom or TEAMsCompleting executive summary reportsCompleting travel reportsUpdating calendarsContacting and responding to emails from districtsProviding resources to schools and/or districtsPresenting in a face-to-face settingDevelops and coordinates professional development training programs for synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities held face-to-face and online.Provides on-going technical assistance to K-5 educators across the state.Presents and speaks at professional trainings and works with K-5 teachers in the classroom to implement MS CCRS for English Language Arts.Coordinates the production of materials to promote professional development services offered by the department.Conducts needs assessments for training; oversees development of training materials.Collaborates with various agencies to promote professional development services and determine training needs.Creates and submits all required reports reflecting training presented and participating individuals to required personnel.Stays abreast of professional developments related to the training programs through research and attending in-state seminars and/or conferences.Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.Education and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's DegreeExperience: (3) Three Years ExperienceEEO StatementThe University of Mississippi provides equal opportunity in any employment practice, education program, or education activity to all qualified persons.
