This position will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of an 84-unit community of townhomes. Skills required are listed below. Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. On-call time will be required for evening and weekend emergencies.An effective Maintenance Technician 2 will:Ensure apartment turnovers are completed within an average of 5-7 working daysComplete day-to-day work orders Emergency work orders completed ASAP (On-call) Upkeep of all grounds and common areas including but not limited to windows, floors, restroom, sidewalks, snow and grassMaintain adequate inventory for common repairs and consistent organization of the maintenance shopCultivate and sustain positive relationships with all outside vendors and contractorsSkills needed to be successful as the Maintenance Technician 2 include:Intermediate to advanced knowledge of: Plumbing repair Electrical repair Drywall hanging and repair Painting Basic HVAC knowledge preferredWillingness and ability to handle trash compactor, dumpsters, custodial work and grounds-keeping Snow removal and lawn care included Use of a laptop and/or a cell phone regularlyQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent 3+ years experience working in a building maintenance positionPhysical ability to lift 60 lbs., stand, bend, walk, stoop, crawl and/or climb for the duration of an 8-hour shiftMust pass pre-employment drug and background screenMust have valid drivers license, insurance and personal vehicleRequirements:PIe037e78af23d-36310-35937118
